Northern internship for nursing students from Cégep Garneau
For the second year, UTHC welcomed nursing students from Cégep Garneau to its Institution to give these future nurses the chance to live a unique and exceptional experience in the provision of care and services in a northern environment.
Arriving in Kuujjuaq in January 2025 for a 21-day internship, the third-year students have had several professional experiences in the Nunavik territory, as explained by Frédérique Héroux, who accompanied a nurse from the Hospital during a medevac to pick up an 8-month-old baby in a village in Ungava.
